CompleNet 2010: 2nd International Workshop on Complex Networks (Oct 13-15, 2010, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil)
Call for Papers
This international workshop on complex networks (CompleNET 2010) aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners working on areas related to complex networks. In the past two decades we have been witnessing an exponential increase on the number of publications in this field. From biological systems to computer science, from economic to social systems, complex networks are becoming pervasive in many fields of science. It is this interdisciplinary nature of complex networks that this workshop aims at addressing.
Authors are encouraged to submit previously unpublished papers on their research in complex networks. Both theoretical and applied papers are of interest. Specific topics of interest are (but not limited to):
- Models of Complex Networks
- Structural Network Properties and Analysis
- Complex Network in Technology
- Complex Networks in Biological Systems
- Social Networks
- Search in Complex Networks
- Emergence in Complex Networks
- Complex Networks and Computer Epidemics
- Rumor Spreading
- Community Structure in Networks
- Link Analysis and Ranking
- Geometry in Complex Networks
Publication
Original papers/abstracts in the above-mentioned and other related areas will be considered. Each submitted paper/abstract will be fully refereed and undergo a double-blind review process by at least two referees. Accepted papers/abstracts of registered authors will be published in the workshop post-proceedings to be published by Springer-Verlag as volume of the series of Communications in Computer and Information Science.
Authors of abstracts presented at the workshop will be invited to submit a full paper, possibly incorporating the results of the workshop discussion. These will be reviewed according to the refereeing procedures, and accepted papers will be published in the workshop post-proceedings.
Upon request abstract will NOT be included in the proceedings. We understand this is important to some authors so if this is your wish you only need to let us know.
Paper Submission
Submit your paper/abstract electronically in PDF format. Neither hardcopy nor fax submissions will be accepted. Submissions should be printable on a standard printer on common paper formats such as A4 or letter. Submitted papers/abstracts should follow the Springer format (please visit website for more details). Abstracts length should not exceed two A4 pages. Accepted full papers should not exceed 12 pages in this format.
Some papers may be accepted as short papers and shall be limited to 8 pages maximum.
All papers should be submitted electronically through the conference web site (http://cs.fit.edu/complenet).
